A humble man and a visionary who conceived and found VISION CARE CENTER, a super speciality eye hospital at Shirur recognized for Keratoplasty. Dr Swapnil Bhalekar is very passionate about life and loves serving people. He believes in selfless service, especially towards the people of rural Maharashtra.
Apart from being a doctor, Dr Bhalekar is actively involved in Academics and has served as an instructor for USA-based Sightlife wet lab training programs. He has conducted DSEK skill transfer courses at various such sessions.
He has worked for Cornea and Anterior Segment services at LVPEI Hyderabad, where apart from attending to outpatient and operating rooms, he was also involved into the training of residents, junior fellows, and practising Ophthalmologists in anterior segment surgeries. He continues to take an active interest in the field of Corneal diseases’ research with a special focus on ocular surface diseases.
Dr Sonal Bhalekar is an idealist who believes in achievement. She is very passionate about life and lives with the mission to help people have a fuller life.
Her passion for selfless service, especially for those who suffer from poor vision, is what sets her apart. She is loved and admired by the people of rural Maharashtra whom she has helped find light in their world full of darkness.
